This is a charming antique sterling silver figural salt cellar, crafted in the shape of a rooster surrounded by three chicks. The hinged rooster body opens to reveal a gilded interior, originally meant to hold salt or other condiments.

Condition: Very good for age, opens and closes smoothly, gilding intact inside. Missing the original tiny spoon.
