Stanley Plane Hardwood Handle For No. 4-1/2 to 8 - Type 18 (1946 & 1947 Only)

A Nice hardwood handle for Stanley's larger metallic hand planes. It is not rosewood, but the hardwood with black finish used specifically in 1946 and 1947 only. It will still fit other vintages as well since only the type of wood and finish is unique to this time frame. It is the larger size which fits plane numbers 4-1/2, 4-1/2C, 5, 5C, 5-1/2, 5-1/2C, 6, 6C, 7, 7C, 8, and 8C. Although the following models were discontinued by this time, it will also work with No's 604-1/2, 604-1/2C, 605, 605C, 605-1/2, 605-1/2C, 606, 606C, 607, 607C, 608, 608C, G5, G5C, G6, G6C, G7, G7C, G8, G8C, A5, A6, S5, 10 and No. 52. No damage.
