OOAK!! Steuban Crystal Spiral Latticino Paperweight, VERY RARE *Faceted Version-READ WHY!!

I can't find another like this faceted version anywhere in my researching this weight. There are many of these Steuban paperweights as well as copies-copies are easy to discern because In the Steuben spiral eggs like this, the upside down teardrop in the spiral, stops abruptly, but the one's out there that are copies/fakes, all elongate the bottom tip of the teardrop making it almost twice the size as you see in this one.

*Now, the reason this one is unlike any other and faceted all around and on top, is because this was a paperweight that must have gotten dropped or damaged and rather than throw it away, the original owner must have taken it for repair, to a glass cutter. I posted this for help in a PW group and a guy responded, who IS a glass cutter and replied to me with this: "Clever cutting to remove damage. I say this as a glass-cutter for over 30 years. I have seen faceting done often as a repair. Yours is well done."

So this is for sure a Steuban, by the quality and info I was told...but certainly the most unique version of their spiral lattice!! Part of the top was cut, prob due to damage as well, because it matches the dimensions it would have been in un-cut, of approx. 3.25" high, the bottom also lost some height, and with that cut, the Steuban signature was removed. I would venture to say the damage must have been in several areas and the cuts were the only way to salvage it. 2.75" high, 3.0" dia. Great cond. in this, it's new form!!
