This is a 1930's Halls China Aladdin teapot. It is a cornflower blue color with gold trim. This estate sale find is in great condition for being almost 100 years old. There is some minor wear from usage, but absolutely no chips, cracks or crazing in the paint. It looks like it was used a few times and then sat for display purposes only.
They do not make them like this any more - and this is highly sought after and collectible. It is an Art Deco piece, and would fit in with just about any eclectic, Art Deco, or romantic decor style. Use it as an accent piece or conversation starter in your collection.
It is marked on the bottom and was made in the USA. The 6 cup size oval opening was introduced by J. Palin Thorley in 1939.
This iconic genie lamp style of teapot stands out in a crowd, and is one of the reasons it is so highly sought after. This color is completely different and much lighter than the cobalt blue colored one.
