Vintage Roger Butler Studio Pottery Vase Form

The Charlie B Gallery of Carson City, Nevada is offering this Roger Butler(1952-2020) pottery form. This form as many found on the internet were an oil candle which utilized a holed pottery bead threaded with a wick. Many of these forms have become vase forms or weedpots over the years as this one I am offering here. Roger founded the Feather River Pottery in 1977. He was last working in Westwood, California under the business name of Fire In The Sky Pottery. It was well known that these oil candles were marketed all over the United States through the National Parks thus you find them everywhere. I was told by a former gallery owner that represented Roger Butler he passed away in 2020.

Signed RB, as shown. I do not detect any post-studio damage such as chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. The bottom was sealed by the artist. This has a beautiful feathery glaze. This will be shipped to its new home via the "double box" process. This would look fantastic in a Mid Century Modern decor with its beautiful design and execution.
