Details
Beautiful vintage Svend Jensen Swedish art glass dish in the distinctive spirograph pattern, crafted in Denmark and shaped in a striking diamond form. Measuring approximately 9 inches long, this mid‑century piece shows crisp radiating detail and excellent clarity, with the optical movement characteristic of Jensen’s work. The spirograph, sometimes referred to as a “spiropymide,” pattern is an uncommon optical design created through a pressed‑glass moulding process: molten glass was hand‑gathered, pressed into a precision‑cut mould, and then individually hand‑finished and polished. This careful workmanship gives the piece its clarity, depth, and light‑catching movement, and the pattern appears far less frequently than standard geometric designs. Very good vintage, pre‑owned condition: no chips or cracks, with one or two extremely small fleabites on the edge visible only on close inspection. A refined Scandinavian accent for display, serving, or MCM collections.

With a background as an artist and a love for rescuing homeless items I find great satisfaction in re-homing beautiful things. My hobby is hunting down these items from estates, moving sales, thrift shops and the like and my job is getting them to you. All items are cleaned, inspected and tested (if warranted) then carefully packed for shipment to their new home.
