The Passionsspiele 38th staging in 1984 is depicted in the wooden relief Oberammergau (approximately) 8.5” across Wall Plate commemorating the 350th anniversary of the villagers vow made in 1634 asking God to spare them from The Black Plague. The village has preformed an elaborate, large scale event with an all day play of Christ’s suffering and crucifixion every 10 years. The play of Jesus Christ's Passion in the Bavarian community in Germany, draws crowds that fill the 4,752 seat Passionsspielhaus. While it is a major tourist attraction, its Christian spiritual experience for the villagers and tourists is by far much more impactful.
Please look at all the photos prior to deciding to make a purchase. This is a gently used / pre-owned item and may have dust or wax on it. We began in earnest to move along items left behind by prior generations on our property - a 5th generation Family Legacy - to create a NEW legacy for our family while contributing to our son's university expenses and preserving this beautiful piece of land we have been blessed to be stewards of. We live mostly a homesteading lifestyle in a rural setting and why we chose: Foundthingsandfamilylegacies as our username and business name.
